The initial letter- section 1
Coming from a year like last year, I have a couple of things I am looking to get out of this year in leadership. Primarily, I want to really grow on the aspect that we are a leadership family. We need to know that our peers are always there for us and others. A good bond within this family is needed for us to do our job as leaders to the best of our abilities. If we don’t have a bond then how are we supposed to encourage others to have bonds with their fellow classmates? Additionally, I want to grow in my professional skills. Just in the first year of being in leadership, Morty has taught me so much from how to make a cover letter to make a professional website, the list goes on. Finally, I want to make those special memories you can only make in leadership and just the high school memories in general. This is important to me because I didn’t get to really experience my freshman year and make those memories. So now it’s time to make up for it and make some high school memories that I will remember forever.

People magazine cover article- section 7
The word that I chose for my People Magazine cover was unstoppable. You can take this word multiple different ways and it might mean something different to you then what I think. To me the word unstoppable means to be able to overcome walls or obstacles that the word might put in front if you. But not just over come them, grow from them. It is important that in some form you grow personally when a challenge happens in your life. Sometimes those obstacles seem to hard and like you will never overcome them but just remember that the earth or God will never make you face something that you won't be able to defeat. Will it be hard? Yes, but that helps you grow and makes you feel accomplished when you do overcome it.
Role model/inner animal-sections 8 and 9
My sister has played a big role in my life especially in the last 2 years. Sure we still argue about small things and get on eachothers nerves but that's just what siblings do. My sister is smart, beautiful, isn’t afraid to speak her mind, and sets goals for herself. My sister can sometimes not make the best decisions but she uses them as a learning lesson. A part of the reason she makes some mistakes is because she isn’t afraid to live her life and part of that is taking risks. She is afraid to step out of her comfort zone and she lives her life for herself and no one else. She is someone I go to talk to and she gives me the best advice a sister can. My parents sometimes look at her and see the mistakes she's made but when I see her I see an amazing person and sister.
Inner Animal:
I always struggle with this question and I think many others do as well. I feel like you can never really understand what your spirit animal is. Since I struggle so much, I decided to take a spirit animal quiz just for fun. After answering the kinda weird questions, I got to see that my spirit animal is a deer. A deer represents someone who is highly sensitive and has a strong intuition. But,also has the power to deal with challenges with grace well having the power to be determined and gentle. I can see this in some ways within my life.

Song- Everytime I cry by Ava Max
[Verse 1]
I, I had a dream that I was sinkin', slow motion
(Every superficial moment)
I get overwhelmed in all the messy emotions
(Before that I never noticed)
Every time I cry, I get a little bit stronger
Stronger, I know, I know that
Angel used to be the Devil on my shoulder
Shoulder, oh, not anymore
[Pre-Chorus]
When the voices get loud, I'm turnin' them down
Feel good in my body forever and ever
When the tears start to fall, I'm catchin' thеm all
And I know the future is bettеr, 'cause
[Chorus]
Every time I cry, I get a little bit stronger
Stronger, little bit stronger
Every time I cry, I get a little bit stronger
Stronger, little bit stronger
[Verse 2]
I, I used to spend the nights inside my head, thinkin'
(Where the hell you think you're goin'?)
I, I used to count the days inside my bed, drinkin'
(Up the fear but now I know that)
[Pre-Chorus]
When the voices get loud, I'm turnin' them down
Feel good in my body forever and ever
When the tears start to fall, I'm catchin' them all
And I know the future is better, 'cause
[Chorus]
Every time I cry, I get a little bit stronger
Stronger, little bit stronger
Every time I cry, I get a little bit stronger
Stronger, little bit stronger
[Break]
Stronger
Stronger
[Pre-Chorus]
When the voices get loud, I'm turnin' them down
Feel good in my body forever and ever
When the tears start to fall, I'm catchin' them all
And I know the future is better, 'cause
[Chorus]
Every time I cry, I get a little bit stronger
Stronger, little bit stronger
Every time I cry, I get a little bit stronger
Stronger, little bit stronger (Stronger)
Every time I cry, I get a little bit stronger
Stronger, little bit stronger (Oh)
Every time I cry, I get a little bit stronger (Oh)
Stronger, little bit stronger
When you first look at this song, you might think that it’s a sad song but really it’s a song about growing confidence within yourself. For me self confidence has always been a thing I have struggled with but I finally realized that I’m beautiful and there is no need to cry over what people think of me anymore. Growing up after getting bullied, you become sensitive to what people say about you. To me this song is a good reminder that I need to get my act back together and grow from this experience. That the future is bright you just have to realize it and stop living in the negative.

what I like about being a member of leadership- section 14
There are many memories that come to mind when I think of this question. Last semester, Gabby and I had lunch plans when she randomly remembered that she had a Girls League meeting. So I decided to go with her and it was so fun. We did a school-wide scavenger hunt which meant me and Gabby were running away like a crazy person. Another memory is going out with Mackenzie, Bryan, and Brianna to go sell fundraiser tickets. I love this memory because after we all went to taco bell and had some laughs and a good conversation. I could feel the bond being made. One last memory that stands out to me was when the sophomores were making posters for the back to school dance and we got paint on the ground. We had to clean it up but we made it funny. Memories don’t always have to be this big thing, they are the little things that stand out to me the most.
A reflection of a peer in leadership
I want to shout out Jaydin. She is someone who I go to whenever I’m stressed out about leadership or whenever I’m upset. She is a person who can make me laugh in any situation. My freshman year she helped me understand how to do my application and interview for leadership. I love every moment I spend with her.

Section 18- What I love to do:
It’s about the little things in life that make me happy. Yes, some of my hobbies do cost a little money but it brings me joy that I don’t get from anything else. Some of the things I love to do during the summer or whenever I have free time include photography, soccer, playing/ hanging out with my dog, going to different church events like Youth Con, snowboarding when it’s the right season, and going to concerts. Photography is special to me because growing up my mom always had her camera on her especially on vacation. She was the type of mom to take photos of everything like you eating ice cream. Now I don’t take those kinds of pictures but more of things or scenes I find pretty. Soccer is the sport I fell in love with at the age of 6 and now have been playing for around 10 years. The sport brings a family that you use to accomplish the same goals like having fun and winning. My faith is something that is very important to me and I love to go to different events and find teens and friends that are just as passionate about their faith as me.
Section 19- Letter to parents
Thank you for everything you have for me in my 16 years of life. You guys are so encouraging and motivating. I couldn't have asked for better parents. Mom, you are one of my best friends. I love our late night conversation even though you are trying to go to bed. I love your hugs and how you will dance with me in the middle of the kitchen at night when I have so much energy. Dad, thank you for being as silly as me even though we have our times. You motivate me to go far in life. I love you both so much and thank you again.
Section 20- the letter
To the Renaissance and link crew commissioners for next year, the first thing I'm going to say is be ready for all the complaints you are going to get when it comes to handing out renaissance. We have made a lot of changes to renaissance this year so hopefully things will be easier. When it comes to handing them out, we have stopped going into classrooms because teachers were getting mad. Instead we have started to put them in the teachers boxes which works better. For the link crew you will be stressed during the last bit of summer because you will be trying to plan pow wow for the eighth graders well training the new link crew leader. Other than that you do some little thing until 8th grade day which can be a whole mess so be ready. You need to always need to be taking inventory because things will run out fast and they take awhile to order especially when it comes to getting more r’s for renaissance. Always remember to have an announcement out for renaissance sign ups and handouts at least a week before you do it.
section 21- do's and don'ts
Do’s- Remember to turn in purchases orders in advance because things take awhile
Do’s - Publicize a lot people don’t like to listen to our announcements
Do’s- take inventory at least once a month.
Don’t - Don’t think it will be easy to find facilities because it’s a lot harder then you think
Don’t - Let morty deal with all the complaints, its your job to take care of them
Don’t- wait to order r’s

Section 24- The professional
Mock interviews as a whole has multiple professional development skills within it. We start off by thinking about what professions intrigue us and start researching. Once we find our top we start the process of creating a cover letter and resume that can be set as of right now or you can pretend that your future self is writing it and make up your life at that moment. Both of those skills are important after highschool for when you are applying for any job or position. Mock interviews themselves are a practice of professional skills. The fact that we are having to actually be in an interview not freaking out and have a conversation with an adult who has done that specific job for years. As well as having questions prepared for them.
Section 25- Change
This year in leadership more me and life in general has been a rollercoaster with a lot of drops. There have been multiple times where things have made me fall super low and it's taken me months to get back to being myself. Within those falls I let one of the things that mean the most to me which is leadership slip. I started just not doing my journals and just had no motivation to try to lead my school. Sadly, because of this I think that’s why Morty had to let me go and why I didn’t make it into the program for next year. I hope that my peers as while as Morty sees that I’m still a good leader, just one who had a ruff time for a second. From this I have gotten to reflect a lot on myself and how I want the rest of my school years to go. Obviously I’m going to not just give up on leadership because it will always be a part of me so I will be applying again next year. But instead use this time to grow and explore other things like learning more within the medical field.
Portfolio Page 3: Quote
To me this quote means a lot because it reflects how everything I do as a leader in leadership isn’t about the events we plan throughout the year but about the legacy for the following years. If events are not our best then the classes after us don’t have a foundation to build off and events aren’t going to be the ones people imagine when they think of Highschool. It’s about making highschool memories and traditions that go on for years and that people don’t forget. It’s about us as leaders going through the stressful, hard times for the memories and enjoyment of us but mostly our peers.
Page 26: The Ideal leader
An ideal leader to me should be someone who is focused on helping others then for themselves. Someone who wants to change the world around them or the environment around them. Someone who is visionary and creative. Who will look at the future generations, not just the one there in.
