P When I first started thinking about this school year, I was worried. I was scared about how we are going to make it fun and still make our students and staff feel important. But then we had an amazing training with Scott Brockovich that inspired all of the leadership. He showed us how to better out leadership with just simple steps. Scott shared incredible activities we could do as a whole to make our school feel important, special, and included. Some of his ideas were to make an item that is inspired by Ripon High at local businesses like Ripon Coffeehouse and The Icecream Emporium. Also to shout out all of the wonderful clubes we have and offer, to let them know that we as a community and family appreciate them. I also got inspired by the stuff I learned a Core Camp. One of the most important was to create core principles for ourselves and for our leadership family. My self core principles help me get by every day if you just let them. After all these amazing experiences I now have hope and feel confident that we can make this school year as great as ever year before.

One of my favorite quotes is by Rachel Marie Martin “ Sometimes you have to let go of the picture of what you thought life would be like and learn to find joy in the story you are living.” I love this quote because we as people get trap in this mindset that our life is going to be like a Disney movie where we find our prince charming and live happily after. Well in reality we need to focus on living in the present moment and living every minute of our life to the fullest. In reality, we have control over how our future will look like. My second favorite quote is by Will Smith “Stop letting people who do so little for you control so much of your mind, feelings, and emotions.” This saying that why do you care so much about what people think about you. When in reality it should only matter that you love yourself and you are happy.

Goals
It is important in life that you set goals for yourself. Two of my leadership goal are that I will always be the best leader that I can be and I will always stay commended to everything I sign up for. Two of my short term goals are to exercise at least 2 times a week and to have good grades in school. Lastly, two of my long term goal is to complete my 7 years in college and to never give up and have faith in life when things get hard.

Jennaveve is a Freshman at Ripon High School. Jennaveve is part of the Ripon Highs leadership team as a Freshman Representative. She just recently got baptized at Calvary Reformed in Ripon. Her word for life is faith and this is the word she has on her My Intent bracelet. She believes that if you have faith in life that you can work through any hard time. Jennaveve says “ I wish people in our community have more faith for the things that happen that might happen because if you even a little faith that everything will be ok. Then it will relieve some stress off your chest. You don’t believe in a God or have to be Christian to have faith.”

Every day I admire my dad for how he works so hard for my family. My dad has a really goofy personality that I love. I have been a daddy’s girl since I was little. My dad has taken so much overtime just so we can go on a vacation. My dad is the type of person that would do anything to protect his family. My dad is loyal and committed to anything he says or signs up for. I have always admired my dad and his work ethic.
Page 10-
What animal best describes my personality? This is a question that I always ask myself and struggle to answer. I was would say my favorite animal a Koloa because I’m small and I love hugs, but I know that’s not the right animal. So I decided to ask my best friend, which she says a dog. Which surprised me because I would have never guessed a dog. Most people like to say animals like jaguars and tigers. Stuff not simple like a dog. The reasoning for a dog she says is because I’m loyal, love adventures, adorable, smart, and super compassionate. After her telling me that, it got me thinking about how a simple animal could have such a unique personality.
Page 11-The giving tree
For my Fall semester final, I decided to choose the Giving tree. As soon as I heard we had this option as our final I knew what I was choosing. I have always loved how people put things like this together to make sure kids can have the Christmas experience and I always try to help them.
2. Describe the process you went through to complete your final-
The first thing I did was go to Tractor Supply and randomly grab a tag off the tree. I looked at the info on the tag then emailed Morty right away. The gift that the girl wanted was something I had to order on Amazon. I had to wait four days to get her present but when I finally did I taped the tag on it. This leaves me with the last thing which is I went back to Tractor Supply and put her present in the box.
3. What was the emotional impact on you during this-
It makes me realize how lucky I am to have parents with a good job. There are a lot of people struggling for food especially right now with the pandemic which means more kids won’t be able to open presents on Christmas. Which makes me really sad.
4. Was this assignment valuable? Why or why not-
In my opinion, this assignment is really valuable because sometimes we get all excited about Christmas and don’t realize how many families don’t get to have one. It makes us realize how lucky we are and start caring for some else besides ourselves. It helps us spread Christmas cheer.

Why I like best about being a member of leadership
Why I like best about being a member of leadership
Jennaveve Albert
Since I was little, I have been a really shy person. So when I saw the opportunity to sign up for leadership, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone. Which is exactly what it has done for me. It has encouraged me to meet new people and not be scared of the future. It has taught me to always take the opportunities that are given to you even when it can be scary. Being part of the leadership has been the best part of my Freshman experience. I have made friendships with upperclassmen that I will never forget. It really made me feel part of the RHS family throughout Covid. Covid has taken a hit on everyone’s mental health including mine. Leadership and all of Morty’s mental health info ( even if people say it’s stupid) have helped me push through it. Being part of this family has done so much for me and I can’t put all of it into words. I will never forget the memories that I have made in just this one year.

What i love to do...
These are just a few of my favorite hobbies, I didn’t want to bore you with a long list. All of the activities that I love to do have to include my family and friends. From the photos, some of my favorite hobbies are snowboarding, hiking, and mini-golfing. I am a very adventurous person, so being outside in nature is my favorite thing to do. Nothing is better than smelling the fresh trees in the air well while you are hiking. I don’t get to do my hobbies all the time but when I do it just makes it ten times better. I always try to go up to the mountains with my best friend for my birthday. This year I wasn't able to because of covid. Hobbies can be as small as just drawing, they don’t have to be as big as mine. They are the things that you love to do and bring you happiness.
letter to my parents
Dear mom and dad, I just wanted to start this off by just saying that I love you with my whole heart. Dad, thank you for all that you do for me and our family. I know that I don’t thank you enough. You are the most hard working person I know. I don’t know anyone else that would skip 3 days of sleeping to work, so we can go on vacation. I will always cherish the memories we make from the daddy daughter dates we used to go on, the time we went to Disneyland just the two of us, or the time I got you dancing and singing in a Chewbacca mask. You have been my role model since I was able to walk. You are my superhero, my big strong dad, my big scary bald dad that people are scared of. You make me feel safe, I can never be scared around you because I know you will keep me safe. Mom, thank you for being a stay at home mom most of my life. I know that me and sissy were a lot to handle. You always have my back no matter what, even when it comes to dad. You are my best friend. I know that you still love me even when I’m making random noises or just acting crazy. I love how you count all of our friends as your own kids. You are one of the most caring people I know. You are also the strongest. You would do anything for me and I know that. I appreciate you guys so much and I don’t say it enough. Love you
The letter
Dear any future Freshman Representatives, I know that going into a class with a lot of upperclassmen can be scary but just remember that we were all at the same spot you are at. In this class, it is important to be outgoing and make friendships, even with the seniors. You are going to me self motivating because things are going to get stressful, just know that you can do it. Communication is also a huge part of the job. You need to make sure you are communicating with the other freshman. But with all of this Just know that this is a family and we get through things together.
Do's and Don'ts
Do’s
Communicate- you need to communicate with the others in the class accessible the freshman
Plan in advance- when it comes to making or planning events make there’s
a lot of things that you need to balance.
Talk to people- It’s important to make relationships with people in leadership
Be Spirited- Let your spirit fly. Be confident and don’t be afraid to show your school spirit
Don’ts
Don’t procrastinate- Things are due closer than you think. Also, the things in leadership take time to finish.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help- You are not alone. There is always a person who has been in your position and is willing to help you with anything.

The Professional
Resume making and interviewing were a couple of topics we learned that is very helpful. For resumes, it was what to put on them, what not to, how to organize it, etc. This is a professional skill that is very important when getting a job. Definitely pay attention to everything discussed concerning the resume, because it makes structuring your own a lot easier. Interviewing is always stressful because the first impression of you is the most important even if you don’t get the job. What I learned from this was that you should definitely prepare. Know the basics of the job, like how long schooling would be, what degrees you might need, etc. But most of all be relaxed and be yourself.
Change
I feel like since we freshman went into Highschool on zoom, I would say that we need to bond more with each other. We are a leadership team and it’s hard to be a family if you don’t have a good bond with one another. But even with Covid, I still was able to make some friendships but not as many as I would like especially with the Seniors. I am hoping that with the new school not that far ahead that I will be able to connect with my peers on a more personal level. This one of my goals for the next school year. Building relationships are very important to me and my position in the leadership class.
The ideal leader
An ideal leader should be considerate, passionate, and selfless. They should lead compassionately and listen to their peers. And with planning events already create so much stress they shouldn’t let that affect their leading. An ideal leader wouldn’t be haughty, they’d be a team player. There’s a lot of teamwork needed to succeed in the course, and especially with planning events, and if they’re too focused on themselves, they don’t work well with others. The dedication is astounding, and should also be a trait an ideal leader possesses, but there’s a balance between taking care of yourself and prioritizing school that an ideal leader should be able to find. When you don’t take care of yourself, you stress out the people around you. An ideal leader should know how to balance self-care and selflessness.
